Toombs County Middle School FFA Sprucing up downtown Lyons!

Last Updated 12/16/2021

Beth Galloway, Toombs County Middle School Agriculture Education teacher and FFA advisor brought 29 students downtown for a community outreach project. They divided and replanted the monkey grass underneath the crepe myrtle trees to help it spread faster. They also trimmed back the rose bushes by the gazebo and dug up the canna lilies. Joey Montford, Young Farmer teacher, came to help load flowers. The canna lilies will be available for donations. The money will be given to the FFA Foundation in honor of Mr. Johnny Jones who recently passed. He was a great advocate of FFA and touched many lives. You can Contact Beth Galloway at [email protected] or call Toombs County Middle School at (912) 526-8363.
